Mission Statement

It is the objective of the association: to promote a positive image of women with Asperger's and Autism (A&A); to educate the public on the issues unique to women with A&A and their families; to offer parenting and family adviceÊand support from A&A Women; to create a networking opportunity for A&A women; to promote the writings, art, music and other works of A&A Women; and to provide a forum for A&A Children, and children with A&A parents. The Association will achieve these objectives with an on line web site magazine, which accumulates writings, interviews, and images by and about women with A&A, and a networking environment for sharing, with links to individual A&A women.

About the Logo

The AWA Logo was designed as the spirit of Women with Asperger's and Autism. We are NOT a puzzle with missing pieces. We are a strong entity that has an illusion of fragility. Our structure not only fits, but is as strong as steel. It's enveloped like an embryo in its parent bubble.

The AWA Orb is based on the concept of a Bubble. The concept used for the new Beijing Water Cube Aquatics Center for the Olympics.

The structure of our Logo is based a dodecahedron which is a 12 faced solid or a soap bubble. We increased the number of faced solid sides. [2]

A solid made out of a non solid material. ItÕs the thinnest thing we can see without a microscope and is almost 5000 times thinner than the human hair, yet is structurally strong and complete. [3]
