She supports Autism charities through her work as an artist and composer. Nadine is a journalist specializing in Autism.

Rozagy wrote and produced music to lyrics by Nimal Mendis and the resulting song, 'Open Every Door' - was presented to Gordon Brown as part of Autism awareness campaign and played in Parliament in Feb. 2007.

Like many autistic people, Rozagy has obsessions that help her deal with stress from bullying and misunderstandings arising out of communication difficulties.

As a child living in Russia, Rozagy was sensory intolerant, extremely short-sighted and generally confused by the world. She desperately wanted to belong but other children rejected a kid who was 'not like them'. And medical professionals dismissed her as 'emotionally disturbed' and ineluctable (Asperger's syndrome was not known in the 70-s) and advised her parents that she may be institutionalized. Luckily, parents took another approach and enrolled her into a special education program designed for the gifted children of the Communist elite. She was also taken to a private music school and later graduated in classical music theory and composition. Her second degree is in Media & Communication (UK).

She learned English, at 19 years of age, in 3 months, by memorizing dictionary every night before going to sleep. But, growing up in Russia, with a system that didn't encourage dreams or drive for individuality, Rozagy needed something good and pure in her life to hold on to, an anchor. After a chance meeting with friendly British people during an exhibition put on by the British council about Queen's silver jubilee (1977), Rozagy got 'hooked on the Queen' as a symbol of a great country where, she was told, dreams were possible and this obsession helped her cope throughout years of struggles as society's outcast.

According to a recent report, 90 per cent of Autistic children are bullied and rejected. The situation is not much better for adults on the Autistic spectrum. (

Rozagy is an active campaigner for raising Autism awareness and for better support of people on the Autistic spectrum. Rozagy was recently made a Director for UK branch of AWA - Asperger's Women Association, an international organization that supports and promotes women and girls on the Autistic spectrum. She lived in UK since 1990 and is married, with two sons.

Rozagy is obsessed with painting the Queen because the Queen is forever associated in her mind with goodness, noble conduct, honour and quiet confidence of a woman who is beyond 'her place' - a true inspiration.

UK Autism Song: Rozagy Storms the Music World
Mediaeye Productions
Listen to "Gaints (Sophie's Song)" By Rozagy
Listen Rozagy's BBC Interview!
